All of the study abroad students were invited over to the one of the Sheik's compounds for dinner last week. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Hasher Al-Maktoum was an amazing host (pictured in the red hat). He personally served us during dinner and afterwards hosted a target shooting competition. He is a gold medal winner at the Olympic games in Athens for the trap shoot competition. So we talked about guns. He even invited me to go hunting with him in Oman!

Wow it sounds like he was a very grascious host and a man after my own heart(likes to shoot guns!) I heard that they might be hosting a IPSC Match there in the future which would be cool because that is what I shoot.
Yeah, I told him about your competitions and asked him if he had ever shot IPSC and he said that he didn't but he would like to.
I remember that the UAE won shotgun stuff in the olympics. and i was thinking about that when you told me where you were going. rad
Well I wanted to know if any of that food was edible...(I couldn't identify a single dish!)
